The Capitol is sending medical personnel to augment the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Bogo City, after the chief of hospital reported Monday, July 13, that some of their staff members are now on quarantine.
Dr. Christina Giango, chief of the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), announced that Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia has instructed them to send right away the augmentation team for Bogo City.
“The chief of the Bogo hospital informed us today (Monday), and we are already acting on it,” said Dr. Giango.
As of now, only obstetrics cases are accepting admissions in the meantime that the augmentation team of five nurses and five nursing attendants arrive at their new assignments in the northern component city.
Giango added that the Capitol has been providing and will continue to provide its four provincial and 12 district hospitals with PPE.
She also clarified that the Province did not purchase Tu-ob kits or materials for steam inhalation, contrary to a doctor’s claim.
